RTWPB VIII successfully conducted a Basic Bookkeeping Training during the DOLE Eastern Samar Field Office WODP Training with selected Women’s Associations.

The training provided participants with practical knowledge and skills in proper recording, monitoring, and managing financial transactions—essential practices that help organizations operate more effectively and sustainably.

A meaningful Onsite Productivity 101 and 7S of Good Housekeeping Training was conducted by the RTWPB VIII personnel upon the request of Living Hope Hospital, Inc.

The training equipped participants with practical knowledge and tools to improve workplace productivity, efficiency, organization, and service delivery. Through 7S of Good Housekeeping, participants learned the importance of Sort, Systematize, Sweep, Standardize, Safety, Self-Discipline, and Sustain as daily workplace practices.

A key activity was the use of red tagging, which helped participants identify unnecessary, unused, or misplaced items and determine the proper action for each. This simple but effective practice promotes a cleaner, safer, and more organized workplace.

For a healthcare institution like Living Hope Hospital, Inc., productivity and good housekeeping are more than workplace practices—they contribute to better, faster, safer, and more responsive public service. 🏥

The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board VIII (RTWPB VIII) conducted an Orientation and Technical Assistance on the Productivity-Based Incentive Scheme for DOLE-AIM Beneficiaries.

During the discussion, Mr. Joben Sabay emphasized the importance of gain sharing as a means of recognizing and rewarding workers for their contribution to improved productivity. Through a well-designed productivity-based incentive scheme, both management and workers can benefit from productivity gains—creating a win-win situation where employees are motivated to improve performance while the organization benefits from increased efficiency and better results.

On the 2nd Day of the Training-Writeshop for the 4th Batch of AMP Prospect Beneficiaries, RTWPB VIII and DOLE personnel facilitated the presentation of draft AMP proposals and financial plans, followed by a feedback session.

The session provided the prospective beneficiaries with an opportunity to present their proposed Adjustment Measure Program (AMP) and financial plans, receive constructive feedback, and further refine their proposals to ensure that these are responsive, feasible, and sustainable.

The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) VIII successfully conducted the Final Batch of its Online Wage Clinique via Zoom, continuing its commitment to educating employers and workers on wage-related concerns on Wage Order No. RBVIII-25 and RBVIII-DW-06.

In addition to the discussion on minimum wage, participants gained valuable insights on identifying and resolving wage distortion, led by resource person Atty. Kaye Barreda-Campo. The activity aimed to strengthen compliance with labor standards and promote fair and harmonious workplace practices.

Sa inilabas na 𝗟𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗡𝗼. 𝟭𝟯, pinaalalahanan ng Department of Labor and Employment - DOLE ang mga employer na bayaran ang kanilang manggagawa ng tamang pasahod sa sa 𝟮𝟭 𝗔𝗴𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗼 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 (Ninoy Aquino Day) na isang 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 (𝗡𝗼𝗻-𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴) 𝗗𝗮𝘆 at 𝟯𝟭 𝗔𝗴𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗼 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 (National Heroes Day) na isang 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆.

𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 (𝗡𝗼𝗻-𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴) 𝗗𝗮𝘆
Ipinatutupad ang “no work, no pay” sa isang special (non-working) day, maliban na lamang kung ang kumpanya ay may polisiya o collective bargaining agreement (CBA) na nagbibigay ng sahod para sa nasabing araw.

Samantala, ang empleyado na magtatrabaho sa special (non-working) day ay babayaran ng karagdagang 30 porsiyento ng kanyang arawang sahod sa unang walong oras ng kanyang trabaho, habang ang empleyado na nag-overtime ay makakatanggap ng karagdagang 30 porsiyento ng kanyang orasang kita sa nasabing araw.
