Today, we honor the legacy and service of the 70th Brigade Engineer Battalion as it officially deactivates at Fort Wainwright. The ceremony included the casing of the unit’s colors, symbolizing the conclusion of a proud chapter in Army history.

From building critical infrastructure to supporting combat operations, the 70th BEB has been a cornerstone of strength, resilience, and mission success.

To the soldiers, families, and leaders who shaped this formation, thank you. Your legacy lives on.

Wolf Lethality Week was a focused opportunity to sharpen our warfighting skills and build lethality across the brigade.

Throughout last week, battalion-led training academies were conducted across key warrior tasks — Breacher, Reconnaissance, Communications (Comms), Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), Counter-UAS (C-UAS), and MANPADS — ensuring our formations remain lethal, agile, and mission-ready.

From junior Soldiers to seasoned leaders, everyone had the chance to reinforce their fundamentals and build their brilliance at the basics, developing the next generation of leaders to prepare for the complexities of large-scale combat operations.

A huge thank you to all the leaders, planners, and instructors who made Wolf Lethality Week a success and who continue to reinforce the warrior ethos across our formation.
