We have now opened the registration for the Global Teams to participate in JAB @ JAINA 2025 in Chicago (Jul-4th-2025). Attached is the announcement document if any teams/Pathshala kids from around the world are interested in participation.

The Jain Academic Bowl is a team competition for young Jains which is held biennially at the JAINA conventions. This competition tests the overall knowledge of students on Jain Philosophy, Jain History, Jain Conduct, Jain Literature, Ritual sutras, Tirthankars, Revered Jain personalities, the Jain Way of Life, and more. It also tests the ability of participants to answer quickly.

This competition is in a “Jeopardy” type of format. The participant teams “buzz in” to answer the questions. JAB is a great experience for all participants. It helps increase their knowledge of Jainism, provides opportunity to forge new friendships with Pathshala students in North America, and much more.

गमन करते समय इस बात की भी पूरी सावधानी रखनी चाहिए कि नाना प्रकार के
जीव-जन्तु, पशु-पक्षी आदि इधर-उधर से चारे-दाने के लिए मार्ग में इकट्ठा
हो गये हों तो उनके सामने भी नहीं जाना चाहिए, ताकि वे भयग्रस्त न हों।

इन्द्रियों के विषय तथा पाँच प्रकार के स्वाध्याय का कार्य छोड़कर केवल
गमन-क्रिया में ही तन्मय हो, उसीको प्रमुख महत्त्व देकर उपयोगपूर्वक
(जागृतिपूर्वक) चलना चाहिए।

Not paying attention to the objects of sensuous enjoyment and not
taking up the study of five types, one should walk cautiously
absorbing oneself in the task of walking and giving all out prominence
to the task of walking.
Note:- The five-fold methods of study are: Reading of sacred texts
(वाचना), questioning the teacher (पृच्छा), revision by re-reading
(परावर्तन), pondering over what has already been studied and learnt
(अनुप्रेक्षा) and reading illustrative stories (धर्मकथा).

इर्यासमिति consists in walking along a trodden path during day-time
when required to move out for any work, looking ahead to a distance of
