I recently stopped by Bennett Hall to visit with Dean Michael Lafreniere and recognize a remarkable milestone for Ohio University Chillicothe — 80 years of investing in Buckeye students and shaping the future of our local workforce!

For eight decades, Ohio University Chillicothe has opened doors to higher education and equipped students to build brighter futures for themselves and their families.

Great meeting with owner Bryan Davis and his son Brandon at B. E. Davis Trucking LLC today!

A family-owned business that started in August of 1990, BE Davis Trucking operates 20+ trucks after 36 years in business.

We talked about the needs they’re seeing in the trucking industry and the critical role it plays throughout Ohio. As the founder of the Congressional Trucking Caucus, I will continue to be a strong voice for Buckeye truckers and small businesses in Ohio!

This morning I received a tour of Impacting Tomorrow in Miami Township alongside Co-Founder Ken Tracy, U.S. Department of Agriculture Under Secretary for Rural Development Glenn Smith, USDA State Director for Rural Development Charles Tassell, and Ohio State Representative Jean Schmidt.

We heard firsthand about the work they’re doing to help build resilient communities. We’re grateful to their team for their investment in Buckeye families!

America’s trucking industry moves 11 billion tons of goods more than 300 billion miles each year, and serves as the backbone of our economy.

I was grateful to join the Ohio Trucking Association in a roundtable discussion to hear about the challenges they’re facing on the road and how I can best support them in Congress.

As the founder of the Congressional Trucking Caucus, I will continue fighting to support Ohio’s hardworking truck drivers, uphold strong CDL safety standards, and ensure commercial trucks and families can safely share the road

Today we remember the victims of the horrific October 7th terrorist attack carried out by Hamas against Israel.

Three years later, we’ll never forget the lives lost, the suffering endured by victims and their families, and the communities that were forever changed.

We stand with Israel and reject antisemitism and terrorism in all forms. May the memories of those lost never be forgotten.

In partnership with Atomic Credit Union, these programs are giving students an opportunity to learn real-world financial skills and the importance of making sound financial decisions at an early age.

It was inspiring to hear from students who are taking an active role in saving, spending, budgeting, and financial responsibility. Thank you to Unioto Elementary and CEO Tom Griffiths of Atomic Credit Union for investing in the next generation of Buckeye leaders!
