We like to carve out our own comfort zone and invite you, the curious traveler, to discover unexpectedly cool new experiences at your own pace. Think of Lexington as a front por

ch kind of city. A place to unwind in comfort and style, where everyone is welcome. A place to gather with friends and family, put your feet up, sip a glass of bourbon, and savor an unforgettable meal. A place where breathtaking natural beauty like bluegrass hills and stunning Thoroughbreds lives just a stone’s throw from the vibrant culture and exciting nightlife of a walkable downtown. It’s a place you can return to again and again. Explore the very best of the Bluegrass State right here in Lexington—The Horse Capital of the World. There’s always room on the porch for one more.

We sat down with Lexington’s Wing KYng, Thomas Williams, to talk about the journey behind one of the city’s most popular wing stops.

What started in an apartment kitchen, fueled by a passion for cooking, has grown into a local staple known for bold flavors and more than 30 signature sauces inspired by stories from the community.

From perfecting recipes at Southland Commissary Kitchen to opening a restaurant at Greyline Station, Thomas has built more than a business. He’s helped create opportunities for others and strengthen Lexington’s food community along the way.

Lexington has truly hit a triple crown of travel honors recently, and today’s numbers prove that. Governor Andy Beshear just announced that in 2025, Fayette County broke records for the fourth year in a row with a $1.71 billion economic impact, our strongest year yet.

This historic milestone is a win for our entire community. Tourism supported 11,813 local jobs and generated $133.7 million in tax revenue reinvested into our local economy. More visitors means more support for our local shops, restaurants, and neighborhoods that make our city special.

Thank you to everyone for making Lexington a must-visit destination.
