Aklan State UniversityโMakato conducted PAGPAHAE-GA 2026 today, May 28, 2026, at the ASU-Makato Event Center to honor and recognize students for their academic achievements, exemplary performance, and outstanding contributions throughout the academic year.
The program formally opened with a welcome message from Dr. Amelia T. Navejas, Campus Director, followed by an inspirational message from Dr. Jeffrey A. Clarin, SUC President III, who commended the students for their dedication, perseverance, and commitment to excellence.
Serving as guest speaker was Dr. Carmenchita M. Tumaca, Associate Professor V, who inspired the awardees through a meaningful message emphasizing resilience, integrity, and lifelong learning as essential values in achieving success.
A significant part of the program was the recognition of Ms. Mardina P. Taglay, LPT, who brought pride and honor to Aklan State University after placing Top 7 in the March 2026 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT). In recognition of her outstanding achievement and contribution to the universityโs growing legacy of academic excellence, Ms. Taglay received a cheque and a plaque of commendation.
Service awards and special recognitions were also conferred upon graduating and non-graduating students who excelled in various fields, including leadership, student service, athletics, culture and arts, and other co-curricular engagements.
PAGPAHAE-GA 2026 reflects ASUโMakatoโs continued pursuit of excellence in producing competent, resilient, and high-performing graduates who contribute meaningfully to society and bring honor to the university.
