On Tuesday, 21 July 2026, the Executive Chairman of the Nigeria Revenue Service (ECNRS), Zacch A. Adedeji, PhD, paid tribute to the outgoing British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Dr. Richard Montgomery, who visited him at the NRS Headquarters, describing his tenure as one marked by strong support for Nigeria’s reform agenda and deeper bilateral cooperation.
He commended Dr. Montgomery’s technical expertise, constructive engagement and unwavering support, noting that his contributions had played an important role in advancing several key reforms within the Service and would leave a lasting legacy.
The Executive Chairman also appreciated the British High Commission for its consistent partnership with the Service, recognising its role in strengthening policy development and supporting the implementation of critical reforms.
He thanked Dr. Montgomery for his exemplary service, friendship and dedication throughout his tenure, wishing him continued success in his future endeavours and expressing hope that their paths would cross again.
