This morning in public hearing, our Adams County Commissioners proclaimed June as Pride Month.

We recognize the importance of fostering communities where all people are treated with dignity, respect, and belonging, and where individuals are empowered to live authentically and safely. Pride Month serves as both a celebration of progress and a reminder of the continued work toward equity, understanding, and inclusion for LGBTQIA+ individuals and families.

The Colorado Department of Local Affairs Division of Housing recently launched an expansion to the Affordable Housing Toolkit for Local Officials to now include a "homelessness toolkit." This provides local leaders with tools to help prevent and address homelessness in our communities.

We're proud to see Adams County featured in this toolkit highlighting our efforts in severe weather preparedness and uplifting lived experience. Thank you to our Community Safety and Well-Being team for their hard work in homelessness prevention and for making a difference.
