Lubos akong nagpapasalamat kay Pangulong Bongbong Marcos sa kanyang malinaw na direktiba at buong suporta sa mas pinalakas na partnership ng DepEd at ating mga LGU.

Sa paglagda ng MOA na sinusuportahan ng mahigit 90% ng mga probinsya, tinatapos na natin ang pagkilos nang kanya-kanya at sinisimulan ang tunay na shared responsibility: mas mabilis na classroom construction, mas malinaw na pananagutan, at mas maayos na implementasyon para sa ating mga mag-aaral.

Doris Ramirez, managing trustee, Edgardo Ligon, Advocacy Program’s Klaidel Concepcion and Timothy Salomon, about improving local government units delivery of public goods and services through an engaged citizenry participating genuinely through their CSOs, People Organization and cooperatives. CODE-NGO express gratitude to former governor Everdone for his time and continued commitment to good governance, particularly at the local government level.

The suspension comes as PAGASA placed Eastern Samar under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1, with heavy rainfall expected that could reach 50-100 mm today up to tomorrow noon, and possibly intensify in the coming days, posing risks of flooding and other hazards.

Gov. Evardone stressed that the move is a precautionary and urgent measure to ensure the safety of students, teachers, and families. Agencies providing health, disaster response, and other essential services will continue operations.
