After recent tragedies and growing calls for more accountability, this legislation puts children first.

Passed out of the House and Senate, this bill:
1️⃣ Prioritizes placing children with family members and responsible adults in their lives.

2️⃣ Supports caregivers with funding for after school programs, childcare and incidentals.

3️⃣ Uplifts the child welfare workforce through improved training.

‼️ BIG NEWS ‼️A bill protecting Connecticut workers was signed into LAW yesterday. 5003 expands insurance coverage for the families of firefighters, requires greater transparency in benefits and pay to help close the wage gap, protects healthcare workers and teachers when they are assaulted on the job and so. much. more. Congratulations to all that were involved in getting this bill across the finish line.
