𝐃𝐄𝐋𝐈𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐈𝐍𝐅𝐑𝐀𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐔𝐂𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐌𝐀𝐊𝐄𝐒 𝐀 𝐃𝐈𝐅𝐅𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐄.

The Executive Mayor of the Joe Gqabi District Municipality, Cllr N Mposelwa, together with JoGEDA, officially handed over the Senqu Rural Water Supply Project – Jozana, Magwiji and Sunduza Phase 2, Ward 17: Work Package 2, taking another step towards strengthening water services across the three villages.

The project will upgrade key water infrastructure, expand reticulation networks and provide 130 new standpipes, bringing water closer to households and improving the reliability of water supply. It will also create local employment opportunities during implementation.

Together with our communities and partners, we are working to deliver infrastructure that responds to local needs and improves everyday lives.

SENQU RURAL WATER SUPPLY PROJECT | HANDOVER MEETING

We invite communities, stakeholders and partners to join us for the handover meeting of the Senqu Rural Water Supply Project – Jozana, Magwiji and Sunduza Phase 2, Ward 17: Work Package 2.

The meeting will introduce the project, set out its scope and responsibilities and establish a platform for meaningful engagement with stakeholders and the community throughout implementation.

The Executive Mayor of Joe Gqabi District Municipality, with JoGEDA, handed over the Elundini Rural Household Sanitation Project in Wards 10 and 16, supporting ongoing efforts to address the rural sanitation backlog and improve access to safe and dignified sanitation services.

The project will also contribute to local economic development through employment opportunities and the participation of local labour.

𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞. 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲. 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐝𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲.

The Executive Mayor of the Joe Gqabi District Municipality, Cllr Nomvuyo Mposelwa, together with JoGEDA, handed over Work Package 4 of the Senqu Rural Household Sanitation Project in Bhebheza, Ward 4. JoGEDA also introduced the contractor appointed to implement Work Package 5 in Ekra Village, Ward 3.

Together, the projects will deliver 100 household sanitation facilities for the communities while creating 44 local employment opportunities.

Cllr Mposelwa called on community members to protect and maintain the infrastructure, ensuring it continues to serve families for generations to come.

- Bhebheza, Ward 4 – Work Package 4: Makhumsha Community Hall, 10:00 am

- Ekra, Ward 3 – Work Package 5: EKRA, 12:00 pm

We are pleased to welcome Mr Kamva Mxotshana as an Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Intern.

Kamva holds a Diploma in Information and Communication Technology (ICT): Applications Development from Walter Sisulu University and has further strengthened his technical expertise through Samsung short courses in Artificial Intelligence, Coding and Programming.

He brings knowledge and practical experience in application and website development, ICT technical support, data analysis and the maintenance of ICT infrastructure.

Kamva is passionate about leveraging technology to solve problems and deliver effective digital solutions.

We are delighted to welcome Kamva to the JoGEDA team and look forward to the valuable contribution he will make in supporting the Agency's digital transformation and operational excellence.
