DIPALESENG LOCAL MUNICIPALITY OFFICIALLY HANDS OVER the Bulk Sewer Pipeline with UPVC Project in Balfour North to the CONTRACTOR.
The Executive Mayor of Dipaleseng Local Municipality, Cllr N.B. Khanye, together with Councilors, the Administration led by the Municipal Manager, Mr. Cindi and the Ward Committee Members today officially handed over the site for the Bulk Sewer Pipeline Project, in Balfour North, Ward 3, to the appointed contractor, Mphophoma Construction.
Speaking during the handover occasion, the Executive Mayor said:
"Today marks a significant milestone in our commitment to improved service delivery for the people of Dipaleseng. This project will benefit the households in Ward 3 and the entire Municipality, amongst other things, because of economic spinoffs, including the jobs it is going to create.
We are also elated by the fact that the local company was appointed to do this crucial job, a company that has built its credibility over the years on the high quality of workmanship they have delivered, and we are very much hopeful that even this time around they are equal to the task."
The project is expected to run for the next few months.
The Municipality would like to appeal to all the residents to cooperate with the contractor for the smooth running of the project. The project should be allowed to run its course without any stoppages or delays. Should there be any problems, the CLO and the relevant Ward Councilor should be contacted to amicably resolve all the challenges.
The community of Dipaleseng is further reminded that this is their project, and it should be jealously guarded with their own lives to ensure its successful conclusion.
