🎓 TVET Month: Our Final Poster! 🇿🇦

As we reach the end of our TVET Month campaign, we’re wrapping up our campaign series with one final important message: there is more than one pathway to your future.

University is one pathway, but TVET is another—offering practical skills, technical knowledge and occupational training. A TVET college can be the beginning of a skill, qualification, career and new opportunity.

Throughout this campaign, we’ve shared interesting facts about TVET Colleges and highlighted how they contribute to skills development, workplace readiness, career opportunities and stronger communities.

We hope this campaign has been insightful, informative and enjoyable, and that you’ve enjoyed learning more about TVET Colleges and the opportunities they offer. We encourage young people to continue exploring their options and discovering how TVET can help them build a brighter future.

Choose a pathway that builds your skills. Choose TVET. Build your future. 🚀🇿🇦

TVET skills play a vital role in building the South Africa we live in—from the roads and infrastructure we rely on, to the technology that connects us and the services that keep our communities functioning.

TVET Colleges equip learners with practical, technical and occupational skills that contribute to industry, local government and community development.

As we near the end of TVET Month, let’s continue recognising the power of skills to create opportunities and build a stronger future.

📢 TVET MONTH CONTINUES! 🎓🔧

As part of our ongoing campaign series, we’re sharing interesting facts about TVET Colleges and highlighting the valuable role they play in preparing young people for the world of work.

Today’s focus is “From Classroom to Workplace” — showcasing how TVET colleges bridge the gap between education and employment by combining knowledge, practical training, and occupational skills.

Through this approach, learners develop workplace readiness and practical skills that can be applied in real-world environments, opening doors to diverse career and employment opportunities.

TVET education helps turn learning into skills that make a difference. Whether you’re interested in technical fields, trades, business, services or other occupational pathways, there is an opportunity to learn, grow and build your future.

The dialogue brought together leaders at the forefront of South Africa’s post-school education and training (PSET) sector to reflect on the lessons from administration — and, more importantly, what comes next.

💡 Key conversations included:
• Resetting and strengthening the PSET system
• Stabilising NSFAS and supporting student success
• Connecting skills development to real employment opportunities
• Expanding workplace-based learning
• Strengthening governance, accountability and collaboration
• Using data to improve efficiency and oversight

LGSETA Administrator Mr Zukile Mvalo joined fellow institutional leaders for a powerful panel discussion, sharing insights on the journey from crisis management to sustainable rebuilding and impactful skills delivery.

The road ahead is clear: stronger governance, meaningful collaboration and skills that create opportunities for a working South Africa. 🇿🇦
