1. Always be alert and aware
- Lookout and report smoke, signs of fire, fires and suspicious behavior

2. Be Prepared
- Have Fire equipment and Personal Protective Clothing on site
- Always have personnel available on site
- Train your personnel on what to do incase of fire
- Be neighborly and help where you can
- Ensure equipment is checked and in working order
- Ensure your property is in safe order, Have fire breaks in place and keep veld neat and short around assets and anywhere you can

3. Be part of the bigger picture
- Join your local Fire Protection Association and the relevant Sector
- Be aware and Help spread awareness on fires, the dangers and the importance of being prepared
- Be neighborly and help where you can
