At Bodemloos, we believe the future of our farm lives in the hands of the next generation — and what a privilege it is to see that journey already unfolding. Over the Easter festival, we had the special opportunity to visit dear friends and family, where young blood was introduced to the land, the people, and the passion that drives everything we stand for. These are the moments where succession truly begins — where values, respect, and a deep love for the land are passed on.

Working with wildlife is a privilege that cannot be measured. To walk among these animals, to care for them, and to be part of their environment is something we never take for granted. They remind us daily of the responsibility we carry and the legacy we are building — not just for ourselves, but for those who will follow.

Experiencing a game drive up close with the buffalo herd was something special. To witness their power, presence, and natural authority firsthand gives a real appreciation for the depth of quality that has been built and acquired over the years. It is clear that this herd is the result of dedication, vision, and a long-term commitment to excellence.

The future of St De Lize is incredibly bright. With a herd of this calibre and a foundation built on passion and integrity, there is no doubt that they will continue to grow from strength to strength. Our breeding program is built around a handpicked selection of elite bulls and rams, each chosen for exceptional genetics, horn measurements, and proven bloodlines. These animals represent the foundation of a program focused on quality, rarity, and long-term genetic excellence.

Buffalo Bull – “Granite”

A powerful son of Horizon, Granite measures an impressive 52"+. His sire, Horizon, remains one of the largest buffalo bulls ever recorded at 55 6/8", placing Granite firmly within elite and proven bloodlines. He exhibits outstanding boss development, depth, and commanding presence—hallmarks of top-tier buffalo genetics.

Kudu Bull – “Mr Wrangler”

Measuring 58", this young bull already shows exceptional promise. He is a direct son of the legendary Mr WOW, still regarded as the largest kudu bull ever recorded at 76 7/8". Mr Wrangler carries truly world-class genetics with the potential to produce future record-breaking offspring.

Sable Bull – “Mansa”

An outstanding 54" bull, sired by Checkmate and carrying the renowned Madala and Nike bloodlines. Mansa combines exceptional horn length, symmetry, and some of the most respected sable genetics available, making him a true cornerstone of the breeding program.

Livingstone Eland Bull – “Uganda”

A remarkable young bull measuring 35 2/8" at only 4 years of age. Sired by Briss, Uganda demonstrates exceptional early development and growth, indicating significant future breeding potential.

Golden Oryx Bull - " Mr TW "

A rare and visually striking young bull measuring 40 2/8". He contributes both strong horn length and unique coloration, enhancing the exclusivity and genetic diversity of the herd.

Golden Wildebeest Bull - "BB"

A 32"+ bull from the respected Bona Bona lineage, offering excellent structure, colour, and reliable, proven genetics.

King Wildebeest Bull - " King Altmic "

Measuring 26", this bull originates from the sought-after King Duco line, adding unique traits and valuable diversity to the program.

Black Impala Ram – “Mr Black”

A well-developed ram measuring 25", bred in the Groblersdal area. Mr Black exhibits strong horn formation and desirable colour genetics, making him ideal for producing high-quality offspring.

White Flanked Impala Ram - "Mr White"

A 24"+ ram, currently measuring 23 6/8" due to natural horn wear. Bred from the renowned Dries Visser genetics, he retains excellent genetic value and continues to contribute meaningfully to the breeding herd.
