Good evening bahlali,

I want to say sorry for the problems with our page today. It is fixed now and we are back online.

These past weeks have been very busy. There is service delivery work happening everywhere. We are trying our best.

I want to say thank you to all of you for your support. We are working together well as a community. We have done work from Slovo to Mndengentonga, and we are happy with the good feedback we are getting.

We know we have not fixed every problem yet. But we are working on it. Please keep telling us about your issues. Our office is always open for you.

I also want to thank the ANC leadership of DH Mabuya Branch for the continued support. They help us a lot to reach every part of Wattville.

Bahlali, thank you for your patience and trust.

Yours in service,
Clr Kenny Ranyawa

Good morning bahlali,

I hope you are all safe and others are back at work today after yesterday's march. I am glad it was peaceful and I thank the community for that.

The office of the Councilor would like to apologise for the delay in fixing the stolen electricity cable that has affected our power supply. The repair teams could not start yesterday because of the community March. They will start working this morning.

Please note that load rotation will continue until further notice and we have forwarded some of the update from the department and hope once they start today, the team will move faster to restore us back to normal

Regards,
Clr Kenny Ranyawa

Good evening, bahlali,

Please bear with us during this power outage. It was caused by vandalism.

The outage affects Actonville, Benoni South, Apex, the Industrial Area, and Wattville.

There is no set time for when power will be back. I will update you as soon as I hear from Eskom or the City of Ekurhuleni. I'll continue to use WhatsApp voice notes to share news quickly.

I know this is hard, but please let the technicians do their job properly. Rushing them could make things worse.

Thank you for your patience.

Regards,
Clr Kenny Ranyawa

Good afternoon bahlali,

On this cold Father's Day, we want to say Happy Father's Day to all the dads who take care of their children. Keep up the good work of being there for them.

Being a good father means being present, showing love, and guiding your children.

We also want to encourage fathers who are not doing their part to step up and do better.

Regards
Clr Kenny Ranyawa

Good afternoon bahlali,

As we face a cold weekend, I urge you to stay warm while also making time to register to vote. If you have recently moved to Wattville, please visit the nearest voting station and register to vote in Ward 30 on 4 November 2026. It is important to understand that the upcoming local government elections will determine who becomes your councillor, and by law, you are required to vote where you currently reside. Should you be unable to visit a voting station in person, you can check your registration status and change your address online at
_https://www.elections.org.za/pw/voter/voter-information_

Always remember that your vote is your voice in shaping our community.

Keep warm and stay safe.

Kind regards
Clr Kenny Ranyawa

Good Day bahlali

Today is the 50th anniversary of June 16. As we celebrate, let us remember the brave young people who lost their lives fighting against the cruel apartheid system.

Today, in our democratic country, the struggle for our youth is still very hard. They face problems like unemployment, teenage pregnancy, crime, drug abuse, and more.

We must work together with you, the community, and join hands to fight these challenges that put our future children at risk.

Let us mark this day with respect and a strong promise to change the story for the better.

Regards
Clr Kenny Ranyawa

Good evening bahlali,

Earlier today, Clr Ranyawa welcomed the Legislature Oversight Committee at Wattville Youth Centre in Benoni for a crucial public meeting on the Social Development Department’s Budget Vote for 2026/27.

Chaired by Hon Dr Tlou Chokoe, the session included the budget presentation and responses to follow-up questions.

Protecting democracy. Serving Gauteng.

Stay engaged, know your budget.

Good day Bahlali,

I want to say thank you to all of you who came to the public meeting on 23 May 2026 at Buso Park. Thank you for making your voices heard.

Even though the meeting did not end as we hoped, it was still a success. The Department now knows how we, the people of Wattville, truly feel.

As I promised you, we have officially registered our dissatisfaction about how the program ended. We have also asked the Department to help us with the verification process for housing applications.

The Department has heard us and agreed to help. We are now waiting for them to give us a new date. On that day, we will invite you back to complete the verification.

Please bear with us during this time. For those who are able and have the means, you can go to any Customer Care Centre (CCC) in Ekurhuleni to verify your application there.

Regards,
Clr Kenny Ranyawa

Good evening bahlali,

After a lot of frustration and pressure from the ward councillor because the community complained, the grass at Wattville stadium has finally been cut.
We also noticed that the field is still not in good condition, and the toilets are still not working.

It’s one thing to fix the stadium and cut the grass, but it’s another thing to be allowed to use the facility. One of the biggest problems is that the community cannot easily access the stadium.
We will keep talking to the department and SAFA to find a workable solution so the community can use the stadium.

Regards,
Clr Kenny Ranyawa
