US THE PEOPLE STATEMENT ON THE CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) GLOBAL OUTBREAK
22 March 2020
Us the People recognise that the World has entered a period of great concern and uncertainty. Weeks following the coronavirus (covid-19) outbreak in Wuhan, China, the medical emergency has been declared as a global pandemic. While there is much speculation about the origin of the virus, what is certain is that the virus is rapidly spreading and severely impacting people’s health and the global economy. While the mainstream media and government are carefully controlling people’s perceptions and reactions to the virus, it is critical that we examine the narrative and measures put in place globally, to realise the effects of this pandemic on the future of humanity.
Without undermining the scale of impact the virus will have on health and mortality, the biggest consequence of corona will not be in terms of health or mortality, rather economic. Lessons from the historical development of capitalism and imperialism indicate that the covid-19 hysteria will be followed be an enormous global economic crash. In their attempts to strengthen monopolies and the authority of the state, global imperialists and countries that control the trajectory of the world have always used a problem-reaction-solution method, where a problem or a perception of such is covertly created, then the public is told a particular and biased version of the problem to control our perception and behaviour in response to the problem, then there will be a demand for things to change from the public, then those who created the problem offer a solution to the problem, making changes that strengthens monopolies and the authority of the state. A more relatable example of such is with the current electricity crisis, where a perception is given by the state and media that the power generator is failing to reliably supply electricity, with loadshedding and its inconveniences, private electricity generation and distribution is being presented as a solution, and is easily accepted.
Mainstream media and the state are carefully controlling people’s perceptions because if people believe their version of the problem they will accept their version of the solution with ease. In the case of this pandemic, the perception is intended to create circumstances of fear. Fear has always been used to control people because when operating under fear, people will agree to anything they perceive will aid their survival. People will be more willing to accept authority imposed upon them and even demand authority to impose measures. People’s behaviour is controlled by our perceptions and it is important that people are encouraged to be cautious of where their perceptions come from.
Belief in and submission to authority is the root cause of all our misery. The remedy we recommend and are in pursuit of is: struggle unto death against all authority, whether it be that of physical force identical with the State or that of doctrine and theories, the product of ages of ignorance and superstition inculcated into the human minds from their childhood - such as racism, tribalism, obedience to the law, belief in the State, submission to the rich and titled, etc. It is important that this is highlighted because of the extensive impacts of this pandemic. It is evident all over the world that this pandemic is accompanied by drastic economic and social changes, notably moving the world towards a global system of imperialism where everything will be connected to artificial intelligence in a global smart grid, with a single global currency of digital money, increased technological testing, tracking, monitoring and surveillance of people, increasingly authoritative and draconian governance, centralisation of power, automated production and technocracy.
South Africa’s reaction to the covid-19 pandemic together with recent developments in the country give clear indication of the above assertion. Addressing the country on measures to combat the covid-19 epidemic, the President of the country announced, among other measures:
“to further strengthen our health response: Government is strengthening its surveillance and testing systems.”
“We are also increasing the capacity of existing contact tracing processes.”
“We are partnering with the private sector to set up a national tracking, tracing and monitoring system of all people infected with the coronavirus and those they have been in contact with.”
The Government is also applying other draconian measures to limit people’s freedom, without much focus on health, with the exception of testing. These regulations are prescribed in terms of the Disaster Management Act to strengthen the power of the state in controlling travel, socialising, and information. The government claims that the regulations are meant to prevent the spread of the virus and in the interest of the public, the situation has resulted in the public offering their freedom in turn for protection from the virus. In fact, the epidemic is creating the necessary circumstances of fear to justify the solutions proposed.
Drastic measures are being applied by governments throughout the world in response to the covid-19 pandemic, and the measures are accompanied by other changes to society and the global economy. It might appear coincidental that the covid-19 pandemic and the subsequent global economic crash are closely preceded by the establishment of a new bank, which is designed to withdraw people from the current banking system into a cashless society. Other recent developments that might appear coincidental include the rapid development of 5G sites to advance the speed and capacity of wireless networking.
Investment holding company African Rainbow Capital, which was founded by a South African billionaire has majority shareholding in TymeBank, a 100% digital bank. Africa Rainbow Capital also announced recently that it would be leveraging its shareholding in network provider Rain, to make billions worth of investment into building 700 5G sites in South Africa.
Us the People view the covid-19 pandemic as the necessary creative distraction that the global imperialists and countries that control the direction of the world require to introduce an advanced stage of imperialism, however the pandemic also offers people the destruction necessary to create a post-coronavirus society of equal freedom for all and non-domination. People must take caution and not act out of fear, instead we must use this period to critically consider alternative ways of organising society and distribution resources.
It is conventional and acceptable in our society to go for the scientific way when it comes to surgery, energy, building structures like skyscrapers, bridges, and transport. Over the centuries, we seem to have developed a consensus that when it comes to matters of personal safety and health, we will go with the science rather than superstitions. This is because it works, and everybody can see that it does. Given this fact, it is clear that we also need to do that when it comes to planning our societies: our cities, transportation systems, agriculture, energy generation, health care, and so on.
Surely we need to consider how we currently obtain and distribute the goods that we need. Which is done by “earning” money, either by exchanging one’s time, skills, and efforts, or by “investing” in the financial system with the thought of getting more money in return, and exchanging that money for goods and services. This may have been a good method in the past when goods were scarce and technology was in its infancy, but today our advanced technologies could be the tools for a very different situation.
In the face of a global economic crash and the introduction of a cashless society, we need to examine and question the existence of money. Money itself does not have any value. It is just a picture on a cheap piece of paper with an agreement among people as to what it can buy. Money is just an interference between what one needs and what one can get. It is not money that people need, it is access to resources. The use of money results in social stratification and elitism based primarily on economic disparity. People can never be equal without equal purchasing power. Most people are slaves to jobs they do not like because they need the money. There is tremendous corruption, greed, crime, embezzlement, and more caused by the need for money. Those who control purchasing power have greater influence. Money is used to control the behaviour of those with limited purchasing power.
Considering a post-coronavirus era, it is important to understand where our priorities should lie. All people, regardless of political philosophy, religious beliefs, or social customs, depend upon natural resources. We all need clean air and water, arable land for food, and the necessary technology and personnel to maintain a high standard of living. We should update the way society works so everyone on earth can take advantage of our technological ability to maintain a clean environment and a high standard of living. There is not enough money to begin to pay for this type of change, but there are more than enough resources on Earth to create it.
The key to achieving abundance and a high standard of living for every person on the planet is to automate as much as possible in the shortest period of time. By replacing human labor with machines and implementing a global resource-based economy, everyone lives better than the wealthiest of today. A future without locks on the doors, and no fear of someone hitting you over the head to steal your goods or money is possible, because everyone has free access to all that is available. And there can be much available by automating and using resources wisely. Cybernation is the only significant emancipation proclamation for humankind when used humanely and intelligently. It enables people to have the highest conceivable standard of living with practically no labor. It frees people for the first time from the routine of repetitive day-by-day activity.
While people may suffer from the fear of the unknown, there is no evidence of machines acting against human beings on their own, except in science fiction stories. Humans program machines and direct their use. It is not machines that are to be feared; it is the misuse and misdirection of these machines that threaten humankind. Machines are not the danger. Humans are. If we do not take responsibility for our relationship with fellow human beings and the intelligent management of our planetary resources, we are the greatest danger to the planet.
Science and technology create none of our problems. Our problems arise from human abuse and misuse of other people, the environment, and technology. In a resource-based economy, machines are used to shorten the workday, increase the availability of goods and services, and lengthen vacation time. New technology is used to raise the standard of living for everyone, and in this way, increasing the use of machine technology serves to benefit all people.
Us the People salute Cuba and its people for demonstrating the power of socialism through leading efforts to combat the pandemic globally. Under capitalism, monopoly pharmaceutical companies profit from weak immune systems by selling vaccines and other medical products without much concern about the health of the people, however Cuba has been sending armies of medical experts to disaster sites around the world since its 1959 revolution. Cuban doctors are in the frontline of the combat against coronavirus, even in the world’s richest countries, demonstrating the power of socialism in advancing science, specifically medical science.
In our quest to combat the virus and restore a healthy society, Us the People encourage the public to put effort on strengthening their immune systems. It is indicated that the virus poses a threat to particular sections of society, specifically those with compromised immune systems, the elderly and people with chronic ill-health. We encourage people to take vitamins, as well as nutrients that boost their thyroid function. The public must also be cautious of and refute further measures to be implemented by the government, especially compulsory vaccinations and any other act of crass totalitarianism that will be justified using the covid-19 pandemic. In taking measures to combat the covid-19 pandemic, the government must refund all citizens their taxes, making it possible for the people to survive under this period of distress. A post-coronavirus era will leave people with one of two options, either to submit to imperialism and the state or build a society of non-domination and equal freedom.
