Four Hillside View Students Selected for International Drone Pilot Training in Beijing
The College is proud to announce that four outstanding students from Hillside View Campus Asanda Ndlovu, Atang Mdolomba, Sabata Tumisi, and Rapson Mohlonenyane have been selected for an international Unmanned Vehicle (drone pilot) Operation training program at Beijing Polytechnic College. The students are scheduled to returnon 31 January 2027.
Selection for this opportunity was merit-based, determined by academic performance in Information and Communication Technology (ICT). All four trainees are drawn from Hillside View Campus, and the group includes one female participant. They are among 36 students chosen from nine TVET colleges for this international training initiative.
The training in Beijing will provide advanced, hands-on instruction in drone operation, safety protocols, navigation systems, and regulatory best practices skills that are increasingly in demand across industries such as agriculture, infrastructure inspection, emergency response, and surveying. This international exposure will strengthen the students’ technical competencies and expand their career prospects, while enhancing the College’s capacity to contribute to local and regional technological development.
We congratulate Asanda, Atang, Sabata, and Rapson on this achievement and wish them a productive and safe training experience. Their success reflects the academic excellence fostered at Hillside View Campus and the strength of our ICT program. We look forward to welcoming them back on 31 January 2027 and sharing updates on their training outcomes.
