Women's Day marks the anniversary of the great women's march of 1956, where women marched to the Union Buildings to protest against the carrying of pass books.

On 9 August 1956, about 20 000 women marched to the Union Buildings in Pretoria to protest against legislation aimed at tightening the apartheid government's control over the movement of black women in urban areas.

We trust this letter finds you are well.
This letter is composed on behalf of the ANCYL Branch Executive Committee in ward 37 to postpone its Annual General Meeting till further notice because of membership data that keeps changing from time to time.
The office of the secretary only submitted 110 membership forms that are recognized by BEC and we received the same data of those membership forms from the office of the regional secretary on Wednesday 17 May 2023, which is the correct data as per our membership submission for audit. This morning 20 May 2023, the RSO sent us a new data with now 175 membership forms of members who appear multiple in our data and there are members with no Identity Numbers in that new data.
Therefore, the AGM will only sit after Secretary and Chairperson of the branch confirms the validation of those new membership forms that were added this morning and that they went through audit.
The AGM was supposed to be held on the following:

Another successful program. Remember the purpose of this program was to educate young people about LGBTQ+ people, who are also part of our communities across the country. The ANC believes in the equal worth of all human beings, and it is also a non sexist movement, which embraces the principle of gender equality as one of the central features of national liberation.

The ANCYL in ward 37 would like to express massive gratitude to the community of ward 37 for showing support towards the National youth Day, 16 June. As the leadership in this branch, we believe that young people must be supported, given what they want, and allowed to make their own decisions.

More youth programs are coming, for we are moving VD to VD, section to section.
