WARD 41 - MADIBENG SUB-REGION

POSTERING ACTIVITY STATEMENT

On 4 September 2026, Ward 41 BET Leadership and volunteers came together for a determined and disciplined postering activity, commencing from the Mabote Car Wash meeting point.

The activity has demonstrated strong organisational participation, teamwork and commitment to carrying out the programme across the ward for the ANC Victory. Members worked collectively to ensure that the scheduled postering programme was implemented efficiently and with purpose.

Despite the demands of upper structure on organisational work, the team remained focused throughout the activity, reinforcing the importance of discipline, visibility, teamwork and consistent grassroots engagement.

Today’s work reflects a team prepared to organise, mobilise and remain active on the ground, with every member contributing to the collective programme.

ANC WARD 41 MADIBENG SUB-REGION SUCCESSFULLY HOSTS MOGODU MONDAY

The ANC Ward 41 Madibeng Sub-Region successfully hosted its Mogodu Monday community engagement at Jan Kgasi Place, Midas Section, bringing community members together for an afternoon of food, fellowship and meaningful dialogue.

The initiative created a relaxed and inclusive platform for residents to engage with one another, share their experiences and raise issues affecting our ward.

The programme demonstrated that community mobilisation is not only about formal meetings, but also about creating spaces where people can interact, listen to one another and collectively identify solutions to local challenges. It was during the engagement, that emphasis was placed on the importance of paying attention to the concerns of Ward 41 and surrounding.

Strengthening community participation,
identifying practical solutions to local challenges. Building stronger relationships between communities and leadership including promoting unity, social cohesion and active citizenship.

The ANC Ward 41 Madibeng Sub-Region appreciates everyone who participated and contributed to making the initiative a success. Mogodu Monday was more than a meal, it was an opportunity to connect, listen and engage with our constituents.

The ANC Ward 41 Madibeng Sub-Region will continue creating opportunities for constructive community dialogue and grassroots engagement, ensuring that residents remain at the centre of conversations about the future and development of their communities.

STATEMENT ON THE TRAGIC DEATH OF TSHOLOFELO SIBANYONI

24 August 2026

The ANC Ward 41 Branch Leadership expresses its profound sadness and shock following the tragic death of Tsholofelo Sibanyoni, affectionately known as Tsholo, a resident of Block E, Hebron.

We are deeply disturbed by reports that Tsholofelo was found deceased in the vicinity of the Hebron Taxi Rank in the early hours of this morning. The circumstances surrounding her death are deeply concerning and have understandably left the family, friends and the broader community devastated.

Our heartfelt condolences go to the Sibanyoni family, her loved ones, friends, neighbours and everyone who knew and cherished Tsholofelo. We extend our deepest sympathies to the family during this extremely painful and difficult period.

We note reports that members of the community may have heard a disturbance during the early hours of the morning. We therefore appeal to anyone who may have witnessed anything, heard anything, or possesses information that could assist the investigation to urgently come forward and share such information with the relevant law-enforcement authorities.

We call for a thorough, impartial and urgent investigation into the circumstances surrounding Tsholofelo's death. If foul play is confirmed, those responsible must be identified and face the full might of the law.

As a Ward, we cannot allow violence against women and members of our community to become normalised. Every resident has the right to live safely and with dignity. We therefore call on the community to remain vigilant, support one another and work together with law enforcement to ensure that justice is served.

At this difficult moment, our thoughts are first and foremost with the Sibanyoni family. We ask the community to respect their privacy and dignity while they come to terms with this devastating loss.

Tsholofelo was one of our own. Her loss is a loss to the entire Ward and community.

May her family find strength and comfort during this difficult time.

May the soul of Tsholofelo Sibanyoni rest in eternal peace.

Breakfast Tea with Elders – Ward 41 Branch

A beautiful and meaningful Breakfast Tea with Elders Session was held by the ANC Ward 41 Branch, creating space for elders and volunteers to come together, reconnect and reflect on the future of the movement and the community.

The session provided an opportunity to listen to the wisdom and experiences of our elders, strengthen intergenerational solidarity, and reaffirm the importance of active community participation as we prepare for the upcoming elections.

The message was clear, organise, mobilise, register and vote. 💚💛🖤

WARD 41 MANDELA DAY | MAKING EVERY DAY A DAY OF SERVICE

In the spirit of Nelson Mandela's legacy, Ward 41 came together to serve our community through meaningful action.

Our volunteers and community members rolled up their sleeves to repair potholes to improve road safety. Clean public spaces and promote a healthier environment. Engage with residents and support community initiatives. Demonstrate that service to the people remains at the heart of everything we do.

Mandela taught us that "What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. It is what difference we have made to the lives of others." Ward 41 has answered that call through action, unity, and community spirit.

We extend our sincere appreciation to every volunteer, community member, and stakeholder who dedicated their time and effort to making Ward 41 cleaner, safer, and better for all.

Together, we are building the Ward 41 we want to see.

WARD 41 BRANCH ELECTION TEAM (BET) VOLUNTEERS' MEETING

Yesterday, the Ward 41 Branch Election Team met with our dedicated volunteers as we prepare to intensify our door-to-door campaign across the ward.

The meeting focused on meaningful community engagement listening to residents, understanding the challenges they face, and hearing directly from them about the change they want to see through the ANC. Our volunteers are committed to engaging every household with humility, honesty, and a renewed determination to rebuild trust, strengthen our movement, and advance people-centred service delivery.

Together, we will listen, organise, and act because the voice of the community must shape our programme of action.

The meeting brought together leaders and activists committed to strengthening organisational capacity, enhancing election preparedness, and advancing the movement's programme of action. Ward 41 remains steadfast in its commitment to building a united, disciplined, and people-centred organisation that delivers for communities.
