The EFF Youth Command (EFFYC) Ibika Branch BGA was massive, militant and progressive!

Students came together in numbers to deliberate, nominate and shape the leadership that will carry the revolutionary student agenda into the 2026/2027 SRC term. This is democracy in motion students taking ownership of their institution and deciding who must represent their interests.

REVOLUTIONARY GREETINGS STUDENTS OF IBIKA CAMPUS !!

The EFF Youth Command (EFFYC) hereby extends a formal invitation to all students of Walter Sisulu, Butterworth Campus to attend the Branch General Assembly (BGA) scheduled as follows:

Date: 31 August 2026
Time: 16h00
Venue: Old auditorium

The purpose of this important assembly is to provide students with an opportunity to participate in the process of electing the Student Representative Council (SRC) that will serve, represent and lead the students of Walter Sisulu, Butterworth Campus for the 2026–2027 term.

We therefore urge all students to make every effort to attend this important meeting in large numbers. Your participation is important because the SRC plays a significant role in representing student interests, addressing student concerns and ensuring that the voices of students are heard.

Let us come together as students, exercise our democratic responsibility and actively participate in choosing the leadership that will represent us during the 2026–2027 academic year.

Receive cordially revolutionary greetings sons and daughters of the working class, the poor and marginalized whose history is written in blood. With Hope that you are in good spirits in these devastating times.

As the EFFYC We have noticed the communique that has been Released by the University(RASA) to students.

We say no students should vacate their respective residences either On-Campus residence(HOSTEL) or Off-Campus Residence(POSA's), while NSFAS continues to pay Accommodation fee to the university that is billed from the 1st of February to 30 November, Together with students who are self-funded who are paying the university, Therefore the university has taken a premature decision to vacate students from their respective residences.

It is unreasonable to expect students to vacate their residences at this period especially on Tuesday the 30th june while the supplementary examination commence on 7 July end on 11 July. They should have fistly thought about the financial difficulties that is faced by the students.

As the EFFYC BUTTERWORTH CAMPUS we reject the communique released by the University and allow students to stay in their respective residences and those who wish to wait for the releasing date of results and those who are going to write supplementary.

Therefore, facing any difficulties or challenges on this matter don't hesitate to call any member of the EFFYC.

The IEC will be on Ibika Campus to assist students who have not yet registered to vote for the upcoming Local Government Elections.

EFFYC encourages all eligible students to make sure they are registered to vote on this upcoming local government elections start at 08h00 am to 17h00 pm 21 June 2026
