ANCYL OVERBERG REGION STATEMENT ON THE BI-ELECTION RESULTS.

For immediate release.

16 February 2024

The ANC Youth League in the Overberg region welcomes the results that are released by the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) on the bi-elections that were conducted throughout the country.

The ANC registered a decisive 104 increase in our ward compared to what we got in the 2021 Local Government Elections. We are humbled by the support and trust that the people give to the ANC as a vehicle for the total liberation.

We call upon all our comrades in all corners of the region to double the work in order to dislodge a cruel regime of the DA in both the province and local. We are much happy that already the DA has suffered a serious decrease in the bi-elections here in our region and we will work so hard to remove it from position of responsibility.
