STATEMENT IN SUPPORT OF THE PRESIDENT'S ANNOUNCEMENT
The Economic Freedom Fighters Theewaterskloof Subregion proudly welcomes and fully supports the announcement of Commissar Thozama Lithakong as the EFF's Mayoral Candidate for Theewaterskloof Municipality.
This deployment is a testament to her proven leadership, revolutionary discipline, and unwavering commitment to the people. Following the 2021 Local Government Elections, Commissar Lithakong was deployed as an EFF Councillor in the Theewaterskloof Municipal Council, where she served with distinction as the Chairperson of the Municipal Public Accounts Committee (MPAC). In that role, she championed accountability, transparency, and oversight in the administration of public resources.
Her exceptional performance and dedication earned her a further deployment to the Provincial Legislature following the 2024 National and Provincial Elections, where she continues to serve the people with integrity and commitment.
The EFF is confident that Commissar Lithakong possesses the experience, political maturity, and vision required to lead Theewaterskloof Municipality towards clean governance, accelerated service delivery, economic development, and the restoration of the dignity of our communities.
