Natal Zoological Gardens Come and visit our African lions, listen to the tigers chuff up close and see our very own Liger. Take the R65 Lynnfield park turn off the N3.

The Natal Zoological Gardens is approximately 20km from Pietermaritzburg and 60km from Durban. Take a leisurely walk through the Zoo Gardens, the home of the only Liger, Tapir and Orangutan in Africa, chimpanzees, tigers, lions, exotic birds and many more species. A perfect place for a family day out. Picnics and braais are permitted at designated picnic spots under the shady trees. Delicious pizz

as, burgers, toasties etc available at the shop. Birthday party bookings on the deck now available ( [email protected] ) . Putt putt (R30), jungle gym, trampoline for the kids in the picnic area.. Splash pad , water slides and pool now open R70pp for 2 hour session- swimming costumes required. Entrance fee to the zoo R90 for adults and R60 for children. Open daily 9am to 4pm. (closed Christmas day)

🎉 HAPPY 47TH BIRTHDAY, OPAL! 🦧🎂

Last week we celebrated a very special birthday at The Natal Zoo - our beautiful orangutan, Opal, turned 47 years old! 🥳

Of course, a birthday this special called for presents & special treats just for her. 🎁🍎🍌

She quickly realised the birthday hat wasn’t edible 😂🎩… and then got straight down to the important business - THE FOOD!

And why choose just one present when you can try to pick them ALL up at once? 😂🎁🦧
