Your primary concern should be the safety of the child, so don’t hesitate to reach out to any of these services.

Goodwood, Vasco and immediate surrounds.

The Water and Sanitation maintenance team will be doing repairs to the gearbox of the bulk water pipeline in Frans Conradie Drive from 17:00 on Friday, 8 September 2023 overnight until 08:00 on Saturday, 9 September 2023. Water supply in the bulk water network will be rerouted and will result in these areas experiencing lower water pressure during this period.

Goodwood residents will know that there is no shortage of trees in Goodwood.

These trees add to the character of the suburb, however we are facing the challenge of established trees that are causing damage to public and private property. A high number of tree work related service requests reach the Parks Department every month.
We are approaching Arbor Week which we will celebrate from 29 August to 4 September.

In the spirit of Arbor Week 2023, the Parks Department has invited Wards to plant trees – this is an opportunity for us in Ward 27 to plant 10 young trees suitable for the area.

Residents who have had to have trees removed on the pavement in front of their properties and who would like to nurture a young tree, are welcome to contact me.

By planting indigenous trees we can all be part of sustainable environmental management.

The City of Cape Town's Animal Control Unit has noticed an alarming surge in the impoundment of animals this financial year, along with numerous complaints about stray animals, incessant barking, and potentially hazardous animals. 🐕🐈

As responsible residents, we all have a crucial role to play in controlling the animals under our care, while also prioritizing their well-being. 🤝❤️

Let's work together to create a safer and more compassionate environment for our furry friends. Here are a few important reminders:

1️⃣ Ensure proper care and attention: Our pets deserve love, nourishment, and a safe living space. Regular check-ups, vaccinations, and a balanced diet are essential to keep them healthy and happy.

2️⃣ Always keep them securely confined: To prevent animals from straying or causing any harm, it's vital to maintain secure fencing or enclosures. Let's be responsible pet owners and protect both our pets and our community.

3️⃣ Control excessive barking: We understand that pets can sometimes be vocal, but excessive barking can disrupt the peace in our neighborhoods. Kindly address this issue by providing appropriate training and enrichment for your furry companions.
