Established in 1963, we’ve been a cornerstone of the community for over 60 years. With sections for Children, Teens, Adults, and Reference, there's something for everyone. Need a quiet spot? We have a dedicated study area for those who need a peaceful place to focus.

Plus, enjoy free SmartCape Wi-Fi and access to SmartCape computers to stay connected. We’re open Monday to Saturday, and our friendly staff is always here to assist you. Elsies River Library has also been honoured with several community and service excellence awards, reflecting our dedication to providing the best service and resources to our visitors. Residents can visit the Leonsdale Civic Centre on Friday, 11 September, from 09:30–13:30 to access municipal services, log queries and get help with rates, water, electricity and refuse account enquiries.

🌸 Empowered Women, Empower Nations! 🌸

Elsies River Library hosted a special Women’s Month Senior Citizens Programme on 26 August at Salberau Cottages, with 48 senior citizens in attendance. 💜

The programme featured valuable talks on community health services and senior safety, while Sonia from Math Moms inspired attendees to recognise that everyone has a story worth telling and encouraged them to write and share their life experiences. ✍️📖
