Please come around tonight between 17h00 and 18h30 to the Beantree Coffee Shop in Kuilsrivier Superspar, at 67 Van Riebeeck Road that we can make sure that you are registered to vote on 04 November.

Please bring along your cellphone and ID (Green barcoded ID, ID Smartcard or temporary ID from home affairs, and our friendly blue team will be happy to assist you!

On Wednesday 27 May 2026, I addressed the City of Cape Town Council in support of Item C33/05/26, the City of Cape Town Traffic By-law 2026.

This important by-law strengthens the powers of our law enforcement and traffic services, improves road safety, and provides additional tools to enforce compliance on our roads. Safer roads save lives, and this by-law is another step towards building safer communities across Cape Town.

Op Woensdag 27 Mei 2026, het ek die Raadsitting van Stad Kaapstad toegespreek ter ondersteuning van Item C33/05/26, die Stad Kaapstad Verkeersverordening van 2026.

Hierdie belangrike en progressiewe verordening versterk die magte van ons Wetstoepassings- en Verkeersdienste, dra by tot verbeterde padveiligheid en bied verdere hulpmiddele om tot groter gehoorsaamheid aan verkeersreëls op ons paaie by te dra.

Veiliger paaie spaar lewens, en hierdie verordeing verteenwoordig 'n belangrike treë nader aan 'n veiliger gemeenskap in Stad Kaapstad.

📘 From Literacy to Leadership: Ward 11 is Working!

It has been an action-packed week for the DA in Ward 11 and Kuils River!

📚 Empowering Sarepta:
We were thrilled to hand out school supplies to kickstart the new Reading Program in Sarepta. Literacy is the foundation of all learning, and we are proud to support initiatives that give our children the best possible start in life.

🗳️ Growing the Blue:
Our teams were also out in full force across the ward, canvassing neighbourhoods and registering new voters. The response has been fantastic, and it is clear that residents are ready to stand with the DA for a better future.

Whether we are building minds or building our democracy, Ward 11 is on the move! 🚙💙

🗞️ Minister Steenhuisen’s call for a national state of disaster concerning Foot and Mouth Disease will immediately unlock more resources to fight the outbreak, and bring better policing of the rules of movement of animals. The DA supports this!
