We hosted a sandwich drive in collaboration with Blue Ribbon and the Khayelitsha police stations. The sandwiches were delivered to local orphanages and community clubs. We also showcased our books and ran a library membership drive at the venue.

World Book Day

Siyafunda Book Club celebrated World Book Day by making reading fun and interactive 📚✨

Members enjoyed a reading of “Ingoma kaLizo”, sang Lizo’s song, and even added their own creative lyrics. They then broke into groups where they read together and presented to everyone—bringing stories to life through expressive reading and actions.

The celebration also highlighted that reading goes beyond printed pages. Groups read aloud using both books and tablets, showing that we embrace not only physical books but eBooks as well.

A joyful day filled with creativity, collaboration, and a shared love for reading đź’«
