While on patrol Sunday morning at around 04h00 I came across a couple in Victoria Road. The Charlie male was known to me as he is a member of the JFK Gang.
I stopped and searched him only to find that he was carrying a firearm concealed under his jacket. I asked necessary questions and long story short it was a replica 9mm gas handgun.

Night Crawlers operating from 01H30 already. JFK's on bicycles patrolling the area for someone to rob.
Drug addicts active. Noticed the Gate Motor Thieves on the road. When they spotted me they parked their vehicle and called it a night.
SAPS active. Stop and Searches yielded a couple if suspects who were detained for the night. Great job SAPS. Warrant Officer Kelly and Constable Rhoode.
Camera Room quite busy until after 01H30 when things became quiet. Working well with Neighbourhood Watches in the Precinct.
Coordinating visuals to members on the ground.
COCT has done extremely well with this initiative. Our Ward Councillors have done well to support this Programme. Safety and Security is a Priority in the Wards with resources being channeled into Neighbourhood Watch Support viz. Equipment :- Radios, Torches, Reflector Jackets, Whistles, Bicycles, Reflector Bibs, Fire Extinguishers, Medical Kits, Paint and brushes for Graffiti removal and Basic Training.
Saps, Metro Police and Law Enforcement has stepped up their Support for Neighbourhood Watches in a Big way. Assisting with Operations in the areas and good working relationships.
It is now time that Communities take back and take ownership of their Streets, Parks and Areas they reside.

A vacant House is being targeted by criminals in our immediate vicinity. The Burning Bush Church in Third Avenue Grassy Park owns the property on the corners of Steed Close and Third Avenue. Semi-detached house has been vacant for a while now. Plumbing pipes and electrical wiring has been removed in the first RAID. Wednesday the Landlord discovered all the burglar bars and security gates have been systematically removed.
This house is now a magnet for thieves and drug addicts. We cannot have this type of activity on our doorsteps. Soon our homes will be the targets.
Thousands of rands worth of damage has been done to this Prime property. The Landlord should have secured the property and posted a security guard or caretaker in the first place.
The damage has been done. But now there is a real threat to the surrounding properties. Please be extra vigilant and take measures to secure your properties. Especially in the run up to the Holidays there will be opportunistic shady characters roaming the area capitalizing on your negligence. Garden tools and hose pipes should be stored out of site. Children's toys and anything which would attract thieves to your property should be stored out of site.
Notify the local Street Watch or Neighbourhood Watch when going on holidays.
Crime and Gangsterism is a real threat in our Communities. To combat this we need to take a united stand and work together to fight this scourge.

Good morning neighbours. Trusting all is well. Today is Dirt Collection Day. Please be extra Vigilant as Trolley Brigade out in full force. Opportunistic gangsters masquerade as Bin Scratchers and pounce on the first available opportunity too STEAL, ROB and BREAK IN to your house.
We have in the past had various situations in our area where these opportunists has stolen washing from lines, garden tools and even walked into open garages removing tools under the noses of unsuspecting homeowners.

Perpetrator just caught stealing clothi ng, house and car keys in Baptist Road Grassy Park. Suspect caught and severely beaten by the owner.
Saps just arrived. He is currently in custody at SAPS CSC

In a seperate incident this morning a resident in Sloster Ave noticed his pot Plants were all missing.
If any approached you with pink roses in pots please notify me.
Residents I appeal to you to please be extra careful and vigilant now that we are approaching the end of the year. For any complaints do not hesitate to call me at @ 0765440065.

Teenager robbed yesterday! Cell fone and power bank taken. Three Charlie Males accosted the victim in the early evening at Parking area at Debonair's Pizzeria in Victoria Road Grassy Park.
One Suspect is known to the teenage victim.
Please be Vigilant especially when operating a cell fone in public.
Foot Patrol at 02h00 this morning. Trolley Brigade moving around freely. Scratching in bins and causing a disturbance.
Gate motor thieves still brazenly trying to frustrate our efforts in keeping them out of the area.
YGSB's Six Bobs (rival gangsters to JFK's) passed through our 04h30 this morning. Stopped and searched. They were on their way to a liquor seller in 6th Avenue Grassy Park.
Otherwise all good in area.

Foot patrols this morning. Bicyclists still a problem. Gliding in and out of our area. Patrol from 01h30 till 05h30 this morning. Saps made an arrest in Privet Avenue. We apprehended a robbery suspect. Victims were robbed of cell fone and wallet with ID.
Suspect was running from Saps removing clothing and cap add I spotted him.
We recovered the stolen items.
A big thank you to SAPS Grassy Park. Constable Roode and Warrant Officer Kelly for their swift assist.

Grassy Park is a hive of activity during the early hours of the morning.
Currently we are two members on foot patrols.
Night riders (bicyclists) float in and out of our area silently. Yesterday we had an attempted Vehicle break in at around 03h00.
In the past couple of months crime has spiked and there's nothing being done about it.
