Greetings CPUT students,

We hope this communique finds you well.

We have noted the challenge faced by some students who rely on taxis for transport and are unable to make it to their examination venues due to the current situation.

As we escalate this matter to the relevant HODs and Deans, we kindly request affected students to indicate the course/module for which they are scheduled to write

Revolutionary greetings CPUT populace,

We hope this communique finds you in good health.

This serves as an update regarding FBMS appeals. The faculty sat to consider appeals on the 19th, with the 21st being the final day of the appeals sitting. All students whose appeals were successful have now been formally communicated with via email. However, students are also advised to check the SOS to confirm whether they are able to proceed with registration, as some may not receive an email.

Students who received confirmation of a successful appeal and do not have a financial block should now be able to proceed with registration.

*PASMA STATEMENT: IMPORTANT NOTICE ON PRIVATE ACCOMMODATION*
06 January 2026

PASMA wishes to advise all students who were previously staying in private accommodation and intend to return to their respective private accommodation or move to another private accommodation, to log in to their FUNDI portal and indicate accordingly.

This is crucial to avoid delays in the submission of registration templates to NSFAS by the University, which could negatively affect students funding. Furthermore, we would like to strongly advise students NOT to register for private accommodation via the NSFAS portal.

Please note that CPUT is NOT part of the NSFAS private accommodation pilot project. At CPUT, private accommodation processes are handled only through FUNDI, unless officially communicated otherwise by the Financial Aid Office (FAO) via a formal newsflash.

Students are urged to comply with the above to prevent unnecessary delays and complications.

Revolutionary greetings CPUT Community,

We hope this communique finds you well.

This message serves as an update about those students who are not placed yet, but they say they qualify for holiday accommodation because they are doing WIL. As we all know, Tuesday placement started to take place, students were placed at Cape Suite and EWR and then we had an issue with the management about students that were removed from the faculty list, but we were able to resolve that issue and they were placed.

Tuesday students who were placed temporarily at Cape Suite are now placed permanently at EWR and Cape Suite for females and St Peter’s for Males. FID students that had signed contract were not eligible for Holiday accommodation because it was an extended contract.

However, there are students who are not on the list and are still within residence like NMJ so can those students who are not placed fill in the below google form that will help us to fast track progress.
