Nakhlistan 'Eid-ul-Adha Message 1447

As the Hujjaaj (Pilgrims) complete their rites of Hajj and as we celebrate the 'Eid-ul-Adha; we beseech the Almighty to accept all sincere prayers that have been made.

O Allah, in a world of increasing uncertainty, we ask You to replace fear with security, tyranny with freedom, and conflict with lasting peace.

Guide humanity toward mutual respect, protect the vulnerable, and unite the hearts of the ummah to be a beacon of truth and compassion.

We are in the most important days of the year, the 10 days of Thul Hijjah. It is the only time of the year when we experience all the Five Pillars of Islam at the same time.

May Allah accept all of our Solaah, Fasting, Sadaqah, Qurbaan and Duahs, Aameen.

During week 1 of Thul Hijjah, Nakhlistan continued to service our Soup Kitchens with Bread and Polony to the following areas:

Ukukhulisa Development
Hanover Park - Pinky Foundation
Bonteheuwel - B Block
Kalksteenfontein

Nakhlistan also distributed blankets, bread and cooked Aknie for distribution in Macassar.

The blankets were courtesy of Africa Muslims Agency. Shukran to AMA and also to the Greenhaven Crimewatch for assisting with these distributions.

Nakhlistan Hajj 1477 Message

As millions of Pilgrims from every corner of the globe move towards the gathering on the plains of Arafah, answering the call of Prophet Ibrahim (AS), Nakhlistan extends its heartiest congratulations and deepest prayers to all Hujjaj.

May Almighty Allah accept your journey, your prayers, and your sacrifices. May your Hajj be a Hajj Maqbool and Mabrour, and may you return home purified and spiritually renewed.

While we celebrate this ultimate demonstration of Muslim unity, our hearts remain heavy with the immense suffering of the global Ummah. Today, we raise our hands in collective supplication for our brothers and sisters facing unprecedented trials across the world.

We pray fervently for the relief of the Ummah from the devastating challenges of war, displacement, and oppression. We turn our hearts particularly toward Palestine, crying out to Allah to bring an immediate end to the ongoing genocide, to heal the wounded, and to grant steadfastness to the brave souls who are experiencing injustice and oppression.

We pray for the millions of refugees worldwide who have been forced from their homes, asking that Allah grant them security, dignity, and a safe return, In-Sha-Allah.

As we welcome the month of Thil Hijjah, is pleased to inform our community that we are able to provide a Qurbaan Service at R3500 per lamb.

Place your orders by Monday 25 May 2026.

The Hajj is a time of Spiritual Cleansing and the Qurbaan (Sacred Sacrifice) is an offering to gain nearness to Allah (SWT).

This Sunnah is highly recommended as we remember the Sacrifice that Nabie Ebrahim (AS) made during the time of his Hajj.

The Qurbaan is a sacred practice that needs to be performed humanely and under strict hygiene conditions.

Nakhlistan Eid-ul-Fitr Message 2026 / 1447

In the name of Allah, Most Compassionate, Most Merciful.

Beyond the festivities of the joyous day, Eid-ul-Fitr commemorates the conclusion of a month-long spiritual journey of Fasting and Prayer. It serves as a moment to reflect on our deeper purpose and to embrace a life of greater meaning and ethical awareness.

This ‘Eid, let us reflect on the fact that our true legacy is not based on wealth and fame, but is built through service and kindness. To enrich the world through our generosity of spirit is our true function; to forget this is to impoverish our own souls. May we always find joy in bringing joy to others.

Mrs Rashida Mowzer, Chairperson of Nakhlistan, Thanks our community, both local and aboard for their loyal support over the past 42 years. A special Thank You to all of Nakhlistan’s Volunteers and Staff who give of their time so effortlessly. It is acknowledged and appreciated. This is how we keep the Legacy of Shukoor Mowzer alive.

It is so poignant that today is 'Eidul Fitr and Human Rights Day. Food Security is an critical issue that has to be addressed because for millions of South Africans and all over the world, the basic human right of access food, is a daily struggle.

Nakhlistan wishes you an 'Eid filled with love for your dear ones, empathy for those in need and compassion for the world.
