📚🎨 An Amazing Book Club Session at the Art B Gallery!

Today, we had an amazing book club session filled with creativity, imagination, and a love for reading! ❤️

Firstly, we visited the Art B Gallery to find inspiration for our speed-reading session. We then returned to the library for some quiet, focused silent reading. 📖✨

When it was time for our book discussions, we headed back to the Art B Gallery, where our learners presented and discussed their books while standing next to their favourite paintings. 🖼️📚

What a beautiful way to connect literature with art! Our learners explored the relationship between what they read and what they see, sharing their thoughts in a creative and inspiring environment.

Reading, art, confidence, and creativity — all in one amazing session!🌟

We had a little bit of everything Thursday from reading class and storytelling to afternoon homework help, sorting out book loans, and then literally running back to our duty points! 😂🏃‍♀️

It’s always a little chaotic, a whole lot of learning, and so much love for what we do. The days are busy, the moments are priceless, and the impact makes it all worthwhile. ❤️📚✨

WORDS, WORDS, WORDS !

‘Language, literature and philosophy’ might sound pretentious and, to some, even a little dull as a theme for a book sale, but the Friends of Bellville Library’s current book sale is anything but!
It offers a wide selection of writers’ biographies, accessible guides on writing creatively and accurately, South African and other classics, English poetry, popular philosophy, language courses and language-learning guides to travel the world with, as well as a wide range of dictionaries and language aids.

These preloved books are all in good condition and offered at amazing prices. The sale, in the foyer of the Library Centre in Carel van Aswegen Street, opens on Friday, 9 October and continues until 28 October, or while stocks last.
The sale is open during normal library hours.
