Our facility provides residential care for up to sixty children outside their family's environment in accordance with a residential care programme suited to the children's needs.

Today marks the start of Child Protection Week 2026.

At Marsh Memorial Homes, we are committed to providing a safe, nurturing environment where vulnerable children can heal and grow. But creating a safer future for children requires all of us, families, communities, organisations and government, working together.

Child Protection Week raises awareness of the urgent need to strengthen prevention, reporting, psychosocial support, child-friendly justice, digital safety and community-based protection systems to safeguard children from violence, abuse and exploitation.

Today we celebrate International Social Workers’ Day, recognising the dedication and compassion of social workers who work tirelessly to protect, guide, and support vulnerable children and families.

At Marsh Memorial Homes, we are deeply grateful for the commitment of the social workers within our own organisation, as well as the many social workers from partner organisations and government departments who work alongside us. Their work is often complex and demanding, requiring professional skill, patience, and unwavering care for the well-being of children.

Social workers play a vital role in ensuring that children in care are protected, supported, and given opportunities to heal and grow. At the same time, they work closely with families and communities, striving toward one of the most important goals in child protection: safe family reunification whenever possible.

Through assessments, counselling, family support, court work, and ongoing guidance, social workers help create pathways for children and families to rebuild relationships and move toward stability and hope.

Today, we honour and thank every social worker who contributes to this vital work. Your dedication helps to nurture children, strengthen families, and transform lives.
