The month has been truly meaningful and impactful. Our WISE program was a success, empowering and equipping participants.

Today, as part of celebrating Africa's month, we also hosted a book discussion focusing on Xhosa story books, promoting reading culture, language and African story telling.

Information Literacy Session with Senior Citizens. We shared stories, wisdom, culture and reflected on the importance of celebrating Africa's unity. One of the highlights of the day was hearing African Author books they have read and enjoyed over the years. It was inspiring to listen to their experiences, and love of African literature, story telling and knowledge.

Today we celebrated Africa Day. It is celebrated every year on the 25 May to remember the unity, freedom culture and progress of African countries and people. It is celebrated to honor history and African heroes.

Yesterday Weltevreden, Crossroads and Phillipi East Library held a Membership Drive at Phillipi Junction Mall. The event was a great success, with community members visiting our table, learning about our library service and registering for membership. Collaboration between libraries showed the importance of working together to promote reading, information access and community development.
