But stigma and fear of judgement are still barriers that prevent people from getting the help they need. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to mental health. Understanding these differences matters to us because healthcare needs and priorities are not the same for everyone. Read more about our Generational Health Survey findings via the link in the comments.

The findings provide valuable insights into evolving healthcare needs and reinforce our role as a trusted health thought leader. As part of our focus on Mental Health Month, sharing these insights highlights a growing openness around mental health, while acknowledging the barriers that remain, inclu...

Dr Aayesha Soni at Mediclinic Constantiaberg is now able to offer intracranial SEEG, making this the first installation of its kind in the country, thanks to new technology. SEEG (Stereo-EEG) represents a significant step forward in presurgical epilepsy evaluation, offering precise intracranial recording that guides surgical planning for patients with drug-resistant epilepsy.

Having this capability available in South Africa means patients no longer need to look abroad for this level of diagnostic precision. Investing in world-class neurodiagnostic infrastructure is the kind of forward-thinking that elevates patient care across our region.

This installation is a testament to what is possible when clinical ambition is supported by cutting-edge technology and a commitment to advancing patient care.

In honour of World Trauma Day on 17 October 2025, Mediclinic Constantiaberg had the privilege of visiting Grade 9 learners at South Peninsula High School. The aim of the day was to inspire and educate young minds about the vital role of emergency services - what these careers involve, the training required, and the difference they make in our communities.

Learners were treated to interactive demonstrations by our Emergency Centre doctors and nursing staff, alongside teams from the Constantia Fire Department, and ER24 paramedics and trauma counsellors. These enactments brought emergency response to life in an engaging and memorable way.

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible partners - ER24, Vida e Caffè & Sweetbeet, MD Inc and PathCare - for their generous support and contributions in making this initiative a success.

Together, we’re shaping awareness, encouraging future careers, and celebrating the heroes who respond when it matters most.

On Nelson Mandela Day, Mediclinic Constantiaberg staff and doctors participated in a heartfelt blanket drive in support of Woodside Special Care Centre, which provides 24-hour specialised care for children and adults with profound intellectual and physical disabilities. Their work is essential to the community, and we were honoured to support their mission through a tangible initiative that honours Madiba’s legacy through kindness, dignity, and community care. A sincere thank you to every staff member and doctor who contributed. Together, we helped wrap the residents in love.
