🌟In celebration of 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐲 𝐃𝐚𝐲, Lotus River Public Library was proud to host an exciting winter games event at 𝐋𝐨𝐭𝐮𝐬 𝐑𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞🌟

🎉Three local educares joined us for a morning filled with fun, energy and teamwork. The children participated in frog jumps, scooter races, sprints, relays and the classic egg-and-spoon challenge amongst other races 🏃🐸🚴‍♂️🥚

Today, the Lotus River Library successfully conducted another 1000 story membership drive with Little Streamers Academy, as part of an ECD visit. The library was abuzz with excitement as the children received their first library cards and participated in a fun and engaging storytelling session. This initiative aims to instill a love for reading in young minds, and we look forward to many more such visits.

Lotus River Library & our Yeboneers in action!

We hosted a fun Information Literacy session with the learners of Buck Road Primary School. Learners explored an atlas, dictionary, and encyclopaedia to complete an exciting activity 🕵🏻‍♀️🌎🗺️📖

They learned how to find information, build vocabulary, and explore different information resources, which are all valuable skills for both inside and outside of school.

Our little ones received their very first library cards, enjoyed a warm introduction to the library, and took part in a fun and engaging storytelling session. Moments like these help build a love for reading from an early age. 💛
