In honour of Mandela Day 2025, the Office of Hon Mika Mahlaule (PCO 621 Salt River) hosted a community outreach in Lewin Street, Salt River and the Mowbray area. The Office was accompanied by Hon. Nonceba Mazibuko, Regional Secretary of Dullar Omar Region Cde Mvusi Mdala, Provincial Manager Cde Simphiwe Nonkeyizana, three Councillors, ANC Head of Organising Cde Silasi, and members of the ANC Youth League.

In the spirit of giving back, warm meals of biryani and refreshments were shared with local residents a small act of kindness to reflect the legacy of uTata Nelson Mandela. 🖤💚💛 MyANC ANC Parliament

Today, the Office of the Chief Whip, Hon. Mdumiseni Ntuli and Hon. Mika Mahlaule, led a meaningful outreach programme at Salt River High School.

In a gesture of care and solidarity, 150 pairs of shoes and 100 sanitary towels were donated to learners in need helping to uplift and restore a sense of personal dignity, which the school has proudly adopted as its theme for the year.

We were joined by Regional Secretary Mvusi Mdala, Councillor Lwazi Phakade, and members of the ANC and Youth League.
Principal Mr Nicholas Donovan expressed deep appreciation for the support shown to the learners.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of this impactful programme.

Today’s outreach was all about dignity and care 🖤💚💛

We distributed school shoes and sanitary towels to learners at Zimasa Primary, Siyabulela Primary school, and through the Langa Community Action Network NPO.

A special thank you to Hon. Mika Mahlaule (MP for Salt River PCO) and Hon. Malusi Gigaba (Langa PCO) for their leadership and support in making this initiative possible.

We were proud to be joined by Langa councillors, REC and YL, WL, ANC members working together to make a difference in our communities.

Office of Hon Mika Mahlaule that is situated in Salt River visited Salt river high school for School ID campaign.

Home affairs Deputy Minister Njabulo Nzuza was present to roll out the smart ID Card for qualifying high school leaners (Grade 11s and 12s) and to oversee that the service delivery is provided to our youth.

DM of Home affairs was accompanied by Chairperson at Portfolio committee of Home affairs Hon Chabane, Hon Mika Mahlaule, Official Manager of Home Affairs, District Manager of Home Affairs, Cllr Dee, Cllr Lwazi and RS Mvusi

ANC MP Mika Mahlaule, ANC Dullah Omar Regional secretary Cde Mvusi Mdala, REC Member Cde Dee Badele, Sub- region coordinator Cde Lwazi Phakade together with 2 Fieldworkers visited Salt River Secondary School, Cape Town.
The purpose of the visit was to assess the re- opening of schools and state of school readiness for 2025 school year and enable intervention where appropriate.

We received a warm welcome from Principal Donovan Nicholas.
