Notice: The Park is currently closed due to maintenance on the train. Our technicians are working to resolve ASAP but at this stage we cannot confirm when the park will be open again due to parts needed for the train repair. One day, two days, maybe a week? We will keep you posted.

Been quiet but not inactive... with the blessing of some much needed rain early June we embarked on planting some trees in the park...
Special thanks to Farhat Danyal for facilitating, Councillors JP Smith, Dave Bryant and Chairperson on Econ Development, Tourism and Agriculture Beverley Schafer, District 9350 Environmental Chair Llewellyn Botha, Landscape Architect Johan van Papendorp and the Rotary Club of Sea Point

10 Spekboms were planted, a very special tree, a Proudly South African indigenous evergreen, spekbom thicket is ten times more effective than the Amazon rainforest per hectare in removing carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, it can tolerate both drought and frost, helping to move towards a zero-carbon world, it can live up to 200 years and it is very edible with a high nutritional value.

Spekbom is truly a tree of life!
