This shall serve as a cardinal and an official invitation to a woman’s dialogue. The theme of the dialogue is "Women in Progress". The main points will be around the proper and official formation of ALUTA WOMENS FORCE and the way forward. If anyone has any query please feel free to contact me directly. ALUTA UWC wants to take and appreciate the inauguration of the UWC SRC and later the CHC. This of-cause leave a lot to ague of, however we want to comment and recognize Force Vanessa Khosa, a leader deployed by ALUTA on her new responsibility in the Student Representative Council as Community Outreach Officer, Combatant Kamvelihle Rubulana as the Gender and Safety office in the Student Representative Council and also wish to recognize Luxolo Booi as Student Affairs Officer in the Central Housing Committee, Siphosethu Ndondo as Education Transformation Officer in the Central Housing Committee and lastly Combatant Unathi Jukuda as Gender and Security Officer in the Central Housing Committee.
Under no circumstances shall you feel intimidated and humiliated to question your responsibilities; they had been given to you for a reason. THE VICTORY IS CERTAIN.

ALUTA UWC STATEMENT

The most influential and militant student movement ALUTA wishes to take this opportunity and commend the bravery of UWC students who out of all forms of intimidation and atrocities stood firm and defended democracy by casting their votes unashamedly to ALUTA. Your efforts and commitment to challenge all the ills in academia will forever be recorded in the great history of student movement.

It is your unwavering commitment and zeal that had got the entire institution on toes, it is your collectivism and unity that frightened structures that believed are messier of student leadership with their exploitive management. We had suffered several assaults from all anti-majoritarian student movement who boasted of long existence which had translated to nothing of student interest. We had suffered countless offensives from the University Management which find comfort in leaders of these regressive student movements.

In the very short while of our existence in the University we had managed to attain numerous victories and all your contribution will not go unnoticed. Our existence draw attentive attention not only in our institution but in the entire country and that should clear indicate our strength as a movement. Beyond the conservative offences we had also enjoyed pleasure and support not only in the institution but across the country. Your conscious to grow beyond organisation conformity and party blind loyalty clearly indicates the prospects of a revolution to come.

We had through your extensive support had already challenged and changed the un-normal ‘Norms” of this University which are at the detriment of students interest. It is through our collective efforts that students find necessity in participation in student activities. It is through you tireless efforts that student governance will be buttressed with contestation of ideas for student’s interest. We had managed to get Two sits in the Student Representative Council that which will ensure that student voices find expression in the student Governance, we had as well through your had efforts managed to add student voice in the central Housing Committee by getting Three sits. This clearly indicates that the victory is of student and of cause of ALUTA is certain. Let’s continue the fight for a student’s cantered University’ for the victory is certain “Victoria ascerta”! Lets wear out T-shirts and regalia with pride for we had won. ALUTA CONTINUA

ALUTA UWC STATEMENT

Background;

• ALUTA is a student’s voice by students.
• ALUTA is a collective student’s endeavour that prioritizes student’s struggles.
• ALUTA is a “none partisan” student body that its actions will never be limited or confined to a particular party mandate.
• ALUTA holds the conviction of “diversified democracy” in its approach, its democracy is not encroached to hierarchical bureaucracy.
• ALUTA is strictly “none Racist, none Sexist, none tribal student movement”.
• ALUTA is a transparent and accountable vehicle that directly takes mandate from students at large.

THE MYTHS THAT ALUTA IS AN OPPOSING STRUCTURE OF SASCO

ALUTA had even before its official launch suffered numerous attacks and characterisation mostly from people who fear it and have got no programme of action or a manifesto to canvas for their election and unscrupulously use ALUTA as their campaign vehicle. ALUTA is not a brake away structure of sasco as it has prevalently been speculated. In its general form, ALUTA is comprised of students from across political segments that are convicted to common student’s objectives inclusive of even sasco. ALUTA has got NO interest of opposing sasco or taking its responsibility thereof; ALUTA only exists to champion the interest of all students and that is just something we are going to do.

SASCO UWC AND ALUTA CONFUSION

It is a common reflection to everyone’s eye that there is some sort of conflict of identity to ALUTA and sasco wanga sigila as most of ALUTA member are members of SASCO Wanga Sigila that is known by everyone. SASCO members and leaders converged and saw it revolutionary to be part of the fast growing and most influential student voice and ALUTA refuses to be insulted because it is appealing to everyone. It is not in our interest to expose sasco issues but it is our convicted interest to account and clarify all the confusion that is being fuelled about ALUTA.

We are made aware that sasco Wanga Sigila Branch suffered criminalisation and injustice orchestrated by disgruntled and power hungry individuals who do not have the interest of students and even of sasco members. These people caucused and connived with the University management to unscrupulously dislodge the authentic leaders of sasco and give away its name to people that are not even members of sasco to immorally steal the name of sasco and all the hard work of genuine sasco members and leaders for their self-directed, mischievous interests. In real sense, ALUTA is the genuine sasco and it is ready to contest election.
