Retreat Library is excited to invite you to the opening of the MAD (Men Affirming Dignity) Exhibition on Monday, 7 September 2026, from 10h30–12h30.

In partnership with SAFFI, the exhibition shares real stories and experiences of men from the Cape Flats, exploring dignity, identity, Ubuntu, family, resilience and positive masculinity.

Join us as we create space for meaningful conversations, reflection and connection within our community. 💙

We’re proud to partner with Thomas Wildschutt Junior Primary School for their Annual Spelling Bee Competition! 🐝📚

Our team joined the learners as they spelt their way to victory with confidence, courage, and a whole lot of brain power.

A huge well done to every single participant, you reminded us that big words start with small steps. And a special shoutout to our champions! 🏆

Thank you to the teachers and learners of Thomas Wildschutt Junior Primary School for allowing us to be part of such an inspiring day. The future of literacy is bright ✨.

📚✨ A Day of Stories, Learning & Safety! 🚦

Cloudberry Kids had a wonderful visit to the library for a fun and engaging storytelling session! 📖🌈 The children enjoyed listening to stories, exploring their imaginations, and learning in a new environment.

We were also excited to partner with the Traffic Department for an important road safety awareness session. 🚗🚶‍♀️ The children learned valuable lessons about road safety and had the opportunity to see a practical demonstration on how to cross the road safely.

It was a meaningful day filled with stories, smiles, learning, and important life skills. 💛

A big thank you to theTraffic Department for helping us make learning both fun and practical!🌟
