Good afternoon our beautiful Merafong Community

EXECUTIVE MAYOR CALLS ON MERAFONG COMMUNITY TO PROTECT MUNICIPAL INFRASTRUCTURE

The Executive Mayor of Merafong City Local Municipality Cllr Nozuko Best presented a service delivery report to the Merafong community during a Community Imbizo led by Gauteng MEC for Finance and Economic Development, Hon. Jacob Mamabolo.

The Imbizo is held in Merafong, Khutsong Stadium brought together government leadership and community members to engage on service delivery issues, economic development and challenges facing the municipality.

In her address, the Executive Mayor presented a report on the progress made by the municipality and outlined plans to improve service delivery. She made a passionate call to the community to work together with government to safeguard public assets.

“We are appealing to our community to protect the infrastructure we have in Merafong. When our infrastructure is vandalized and stolen, it is our own community that suffers. We must report criminal elements who are destroying what is meant to serve us,” said the Executive Mayor.

Different government departments are on site providing different services.
