Official statement from 911 4 kidZ.
Following the publication of a recent article, 911 4 kidZ considers it necessary to correct the record and place the following facts on record clearly and formally.
911 4 kidZ is a registered NPC.
It is not an NPO.
It is not a PBO.
That distinction is a matter of fact and law, and it should have been properly understood before any public allegations or questions of legality, compliance, or fundraising were raised.
911 4 kidZ does not operate as a public cash collection model in the manner being alleged.
Where there is a need, 911 4 kidZ may make that need known. Members of the public or supporters are then free to purchase the required items themselves and donate those items directly to the relevant beneficiary, family, orphanage, feeding initiative, or project.
That is not the same as the unlawful collection of public cash.
That is not the same as operating outside the law.
And it should not be misrepresented as such.
It is also necessary to correct the false impression that community platforms are used to promote unrelated projects for personal gain.
Where community groups have been used, it has been in relation to genuine needs affecting the relevant local community. During times of hardship, such as Covid, needs within the area were made known so that those who wished to assist could send groceries or support directly to affected families.
That is community support.
That is not misconduct.
That is not exploitation.
What is particularly concerning is that this matter arose after concern was raised regarding the public sharing of traumatic content involving children. Rather than addressing that concern with care and accountability, attention was redirected toward the organisation and its director through allegations that are misleading, unsubstantiated, and damaging.
911 4 kidZ stands for the protection of children, the dignity of vulnerable people, and service rooted in fairness, integrity, and humanity.
The organisation remains committed to those principles.
If serious allegations are going to be made about 911 4 kidZ, then they should be supported by proper facts and credible evidence, not assumption, distortion, or gossip presented as reporting.
For the avoidance of doubt:
911 4 kidZ is a registered NPC.
911 4 kidZ does not collect public cash in the manner alleged.
911 4 kidZ remains committed to lawful, transparent, and community centred work.
If the organisation is going to be mentioned publicly, then it must be mentioned correctly.
