When you work in social services, it is incredibly easy to become overwhelmed by the systemic issues, poverty and difficult family dynamics we encounter every week. Sometimes the challenges in our region feel as hard as the rocks that surround our town.

When people think of volunteering for an NGO, they often picture physical labor, painting buildings, or sorting through massive piles of clothing donations. Many professionals feel they can't help because they don't have time for manual work. The truth is, modern non-profits are complex organizations, and the most valuable thing you can donate might actually be your professional expertise. Badisa Matzi-Care desperately needs skills-based volunteers. If you have a background in accounting, IT, human resources, marketing, or basic administration, donating just two hours of your time a week to help our office run smoothly allows our social workers to spend more time out in the field protecting children. Badisa Cederberg forms part of the registered Badisa organization and works in partnership with the Department of Social Development. We are a registered NPO and PBO and provide services in accordance with child protection legislation and POPIA.
