Dear Intsika Yethu Municipality inhabitants and visitors
We are at the end of another year and it is the Season to be merry again. The ANC welcomes all holiday visitors to the Intsika Yethu municipal jurisdiction.
This is a busy time and you will not be short of options for things to do - visit our local Tourism office for more information on events, attractions and everything to be enjoyed in the local space. Join the people in their joyful activities.
Winston Churchill said βWe make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.β The Festive Season is a time of giving and this year the ANC wants you to make a life, rather than a living. Let us try and spread the cheer by giving, whatever we can afford or have, to someone that we know is in need. We can all make a difference in someoneβs life in our own way - if each of us contributes.
To all our inhabitants on holiday, please enjoy your time off. Play responsibly though, we want you to have a safe and happy holiday! To all the various stakeholders, thank you once again for keeping us on our toes.
As we go on recess, we appreciate the work that will be done by the essential and emergency services during this festive season; we wish them well.
It is also very important that at this time we note the 16 Days of Activism against Children and Women Abuse and this therefore warrants all men to be in the forefront of this struggle so as to send a message across to all men to treat children and women with the dignity they deserve.
If you will be travelling by any chance, obey the rules of the road, mainly the following: Do not drink and drive; have enough rest before taking the wheel; respect other road-users and make sure your vehicle is roadworthy.
The ANC wishes you a merry Christmas and a prosperous 2026!
