Khanya Njalo

Khanya Njalo Providing light and enlightenment to the Rural People of Southern Africa with a compact and cost-eff There is therefore no light for children to study by.

Most homes outside of our towns and cities have no electricity. Generally the people in the rural areas are poor, with very little infrastructure to support them. This means that most of the people in our country spend their nights in darkness. It costs a poor family R40.00 to light one room for one month. Two packs of candles containing 6 candles each are cut in half to provide light for 24 night

s. There are few safe means of our rural population to obtain light, except through nightly fires. These fires have already caused hazardous outcomes in some areas, due to run-away fires burning down homes. The failure rate for schools in areas like Zululand, for example is 85%. A solar unit will provide free light

You don't encounter Africa by going on tours and staying in hotels.

The insidious pulse of Africa creeps into your heart when you mix with the happy smiles of its poorer rural people and feel the heat of the African sun on your back.

That's why We made the $1000 reward so kick-ass.
