STAKEHOLDER MEETING: INTRODUCTION OF NEWLY APPOINTED SOCIAL WORKERS
Today, 04 September 2026 Mayor Councillor Irene Williams, held a stakeholder meeting to introduce the newly appointed social workers who will be serving the Kgatelopele community.
The meeting also introduced a social worker specialising in Gender-Based Violence (GBV), who will provide services to both the Kgatelopele and Tsantsabane communities.
Our stakeholders warmly welcomed the newly appointed social workers and used the opportunity to highlight the various social needs and challenges facing our communities.
The discussions emphasised the importance of accessible social support services and stronger collaboration among stakeholders to address these needs.
Mayor Councillor Irene Williams expressed her gratitude and appreciation for the appointments, noting that the arrival of the social workers has been long awaited and will make a meaningful contribution to the wellbeing and support of the communities we serve.
