Molefe Morutse Ditsobotla Local Municipality Mayor

On Monday, 24 November 2025, the Special project desk in the Office of the Mayor of Ditsobotla Local Municipality held a candle light prayer session in remembrance of all the victims of the Gender base violence and femicide. The event was not only to remember the victims, but to raise awareness of the devastating impact that Gender-Based Violence and Femicide (GBVF) has on women and children and
mobilise action at local level to eliminate the manifestation of all forms of gender base violence.

The candle light prayer session was held in the Council Chamber and was attended by Cllr Molefe Morutse, the Mayor of Ditsobotla Local Municipality, Cllr Itumeleng Lethoko and Councillor Kathy Vogel and employees of the Municipality. This event was a build up towards the main event that the Office of the Mayor will host on the Thursday, 27 November 2025, at Itsoseng community hall.

On Thurday, 06 November 2025, the Executive Mayor Cllr. Khumalo Molefe led the IDP's consultative meeting with Ditsobotla Local Municipality.

Also in attendance Mr Kopung Ralikontsane, the National Cabinet Representative, Cllr Molefe Morutse, the Mayor of Ditsobotla, Cllr Manana Bogatsu, the Speaker and Councillors of the municipality. The IDP consultative meeting was held in the Ditsobotla municipality chamber.
