Our team had a meeting with the Deputy Mayor Zandile Prudence Myeni at the City Hall in Durban yesterday

We discussed the many issues pertaing to the Ethekweni Municipality programme pertaining to Safety and Security , The Role of Safer Cities Department or Commutity Programme in the Ethekweni Region and also the failure in implementing the Ethekweni Municipality Deht Relief Programme by the Water and Sanitation Department.

We also complained to the Deputy Mayor about the failure of the Ethekweni Muncipality Ward Councillors , Ward Committee Meetings and the failure of War Room Meeting or attendence of the Ethekweni Muncipality Head of Department and Government Institutions Department of Health , Education , South African Police Service's , Social Affairs , Sassa and Home Affairs.

We are the only proactive political leadership in Kwazulu Natal whom make representation on behalf of the ratepayers and residents in the Kwazulu Natal and sadly the councillors that you the ratepayers gave you all important vote or mandate have subsequently failed or abandoned you since the local government elections since the Local Government Elections.

Our message to our Deputy Mayor Zandile Prudence Myeni also the General Secretary of her political organisation the National Freedom Party to continue her good work in the development of the Ethekweni Muncipality and dont forget or abandoned the poor and marginalised ratepayers within the Ethekweni Municipality.that put her and the other councillors in office and our ratepayers are suffering the effects of the Covid Pandermic, Unrest in Kwazulu Natal and the Devastating Storm that damaged our infrastructure in the Ethekweni Region

Ratepayers and Residents can call Raymond Methraj Sakloo , Tavlene Singh, Rafick or Ayesha Hoosen , Trisha Ramadu and Janice Perumal and we have now established a office at 14 Acutt Road in Durban and ratepayers or residents can now make a appointment to visir our offices in Durban if you are facing poor service delivery or want help on your Water and Electricity Historical Debts.

The pensioners and ratepayers must kindly note the 2023 / 2024 Rates Rebate Renewal documentation needs to be completed and submitted to the Ethekweni Municipality.

The Ward and the Proportional Representative Councillors in the last financial year failed to advise the pensioners or ratepayers that their application must be renewed yearly and Ethekweni Municipality only deviated from the policy was during the Covid Pandermic

Our team is the only political organisation that cares and works at grassroots levels with the poor pensioners or ratepayers that receive disability grants that qualify for this rebate in the Ethekweni Region are advised to complete the application timously because last year they spent the whole day at the municipality offices standing in long lines and with very unhelpful Ethekweni Municipality officials who did not care that many of the applicants were old and sickly ratepayers.

Our team makes a humble appeal to the children or other family members to ensure all the documentation are completed timously and their identity documentation have a Commisioner of Oaths stamp to avoid the last minute submission of the pensioners or ratepayers application to the Ethekweni Municipality.

Our team will also be having a meeting with the Executive of the Ethekweni Muncipality in finding a better methodology in the submission of thr Rate Revate Renewals and we have also in October last year complained to the Speaker of the Ethekweni Muncipality that the elected Ward Councillors from all political organisations also failed to have regular meetings with the ratepayers and residents to advise them about the Rates Rebate Renewal Policy.

Ratepayers or Residents who require further information on the Rates Rebate Renewal Policy must contact Raymond Methraj Sakloo on cell 0740930674 or email [email protected] or visit our office in Durban.
