80 years of sustainable growth with absolute recognition and unwavering commitment to the pristine environment in which Morgan Bay Hotel rests. !!!!
A legacy of sustainable tourism growth that should serve as an example of how this region could absolutely be South Africas top eco tourism coastal leader .
Thank you Richard Warren-Smith , your family and entire team for such a shining example of an eco tourism jewel.

It appears the cut off low has a trajectory more westward and East London seems to be getting only brush of it . Still good rains forecast and the low has intensified and created a more offshore flow against the ridging high .
More moderate than forecast but these systems can be unpredictable. Keep an eye on forecasts

Your Green Ripples are needed to extend towards this magnificent coastal jewel . Jeffreys Bay is an eco tourist magnate and one can only speculate that the Corona Open tourism boost may have been purposefully scuppered to pave a way for this impactful disaster.
Please oppose this as best you can . This cannot be allowed without a fight .

Meeting at Newton Hall on 24th April @ 18:00

We don’t want

6.3 million cubic meters of black sand (gooey) pumped into our ocean. The calamari industry will be ruined affecting 3000 employees and their families who will be left jobless.
Very possible surf spots will be destroyed – Marine life killed.

Thousands of job seekers and no work for them – so they stay and crime increases.

These are just 2 points, that will ruin our lifestyles and where we live will never be the same, ever!

Please read the attached or just come to the meeting PLEASE! We need to show them we are serious.

Thanks, see you there.

Shared from Nahoon Point Nature Reserve

A recent natural history record at the reserve was this 1.63 m common smoothhound shark (Mustelus mustelus) which was logged as a recreational mortality at Nahoon Beach.
Aquarium volunteer Jessica Robertson sent through a photo record of the species and museum scientist Kevin Cole liaising with retired museum colleague Greg Brett and shark expert Dr Geremy Cliff confirmed both the species and the strange markings as accentuated musculature which is known to present with houndsharks after death.

ℹ Common smoothhound shark are not dangerous to humans at all. They're considered one of the most harmless shark species. Their teeth are flat and pavement-like, designed for crushing shellfish and crabs - not tearing flesh.

It is found in the eastern Atlantic Ocean from the British Isles to South Africa, and in the Mediterranean Sea, Madeira, and the Canary Islands.
