Hearty congratulations to the Eastern Cape team through which delivery is expected. As the ANCWL we are pleased to see not only continuity but also women from the ranks of the ANCWL. We are confident, as the region that, the inclusion of women leaders of this league, will bear the sweet fruits of progress as envisaged guided by the democratic principles of the ANC, the leagues and the new Government of National Unity.

We once again congratulate the Chairperson of the Provincial Women's League, Ms Ntandokazi Capa, the Provincial secretary of Women's League with Ms, Bukiwe Fanta as the NEC of the WL. We equally note the members of the ANCWL, Ms Nonceba Kontsiwe, Ms Sibulele Ngogland Ms Nonkqubela Peters

We want to commend the Provincial leadership of the ANC for the confidence it has in the ANCWL as a formidable organisation with leaders fit to shape the path into the new possibilities in the 7th administration.

ANC EASTERN CAPE STATEMENT ON WITHDRAWAL OF THE ANC PROVINCIAL SECRETARY’S REQUEST TO STEP DOWN

The ANC Provincial Executive Committee (PEC) Officials in the Eastern Cape met today , Monday , 10th June 2024 and considered among other items, the request by the ANC Provincial Secretary, Comrade Lulama Ngcukayitobi to step down from the current position of the Provincial Secretary to pursue other personal interests.

Upon positive deliberations by the PEC Officials, the Provincial Secretary has withdrawn this request.

This is to ensure that organisation in the Eastern Cape remains stable, united and focused on the immediate task for all the Officials to usher in the new 7th Administration and to consolidate the process of ANC's renewal, rejuvenation and growth following the 2024 National and Provincial Elections.

The ANC Provincial Officials are now fully focused and seized with leading the entire PEC collective in ensuring that the ANC as the strategic centre of power and leader of the society provides the required leadership to the ANC structures, government and society at large for acceleration towards a better life for all.

The PEC Officials wishes to thank all the people , key stakeholders and various leaders of the society who raised concerns about these developments and wish to assure the structures of the ANC, the Alliance, Mass Democratic Movement formations and the public that the matter is now considered closed and no further public commentary will be provided nor queries entertained on the matter.

The ANC will always be willing to engage with the society when the need arises.
